Overview

CRM interfaces are used for hours every day by sellers and support agents. UX should optimize for speed of data entry, scanning lists, and context at a glance (recent activity, open tasks, account health) without overwhelming the user.

Key concepts

  • List views & filters — Saved views, bulk actions, inline edits where safe.
  • Record layouts — Related lists, timeline, and highlights above the fold.
  • Keyboard shortcuts & quick create — Power-user efficiency.
  • Mobile CRM — Lightweight actions: log calls, update next step, view map.
  • Guided workflows — Playbooks and required fields for stage transitions.
