Scrum
Overview
Scrum is an agile framework with defined roles (Product Owner, Scrum Master, Developers), events (Sprint, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective), and artifacts (Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Increment). It creates a regular rhythm of planning, delivery, and inspection.
Key concepts
- Sprint — Fixed time box (often 1–4 weeks) producing a usable increment.
- Definition of Done — Shared quality bar for every backlog item.
- Empiricism — Transparency, inspection, adaptation.
- Commitments — Product Goal, Sprint Goal (per Scrum Guide).
- Stakeholder feedback — Sprint Review informs backlog ordering.
